Match Preview
"Bucks looking to earn their stripes against the Tigers"
Match Date : December 28th, 2019 3:00 pm
Competition : National League North
Ground : New Meadow Park
Kick Off : 15:00
The festive fixtures continue apace with an away trip to Gloucester City this Saturday. …..
The Tigers currently play at the Jubliee Stadium – the home of Worcestershire side Evesham United – and returned to the National League North after a two-year stint in the South. Gloucester placed 14th and 17th in their two seasons in the South, having achieved a 10th-place finish during their last campaign in the North.
The Bucks came from two down to win an entertaining 4-3 encounter earlier in the season, and Gavin Cowan will be hoping for another three points this weekend against a Gloucester side with just one win in 12.
In fact, the start of the Tiger’s current sequence of struggle was enough to see Mike Cook lose his job as manager. Former Aldershot assistant James Rowe was brought in to try to revive the Tigers, but his side have failed to win any of the four games of his tenure so far. The Bucks will still have to be wary of Joe Hanks though; the dangerous forward has ten league goals this season.
The Bucks will be looking to build on back-to-back clean sheets and Boxing Day’s 3-0 win over Alfreton Town. Another win this weekend could lift the Bucks into the top half.
