Match Review
Gavin Cowan’s preparations for the new season stepped up a gear as AFC Telford United earned a 0-0 draw at home to National League Premier outfit Wrexham.
The visitors from North Wales represented the toughest pre-season test so far for the Bucks having emerged unscathed from encounters with Ellesmere, Market Drayton and Stafford, but nonetheless Telford remain unbeaten this term followinng a tightly contested affair at the New Bucks Head.

At the other end, former AFC Telford youth player Elliot Durrell came close to winning it for Wrexham with a powerful strike from the edge of the penalty area which arrowed wide of Ashley Rawlins’ post.
There was a further chance for several trialists to impress in the second half, with run-outs for Dom McHale and Jordan Davies, while ‘keeper Russ Griffiths made his first competitive start for the Bucks since joining the club permanently over the summer.
